I had a HORRIBLE experience trying to place an order with Norwall and CJ’s RV Generator. Because my shipping address and mail address didn't match from the website order page, THEY ASKED ME TO SEND A PHOTOCOPY OF MY DRIVERS LICENSE AND THE FACE OF MY CREDIT CARD. Both addresses are, in fact, kept by Bank of America and had the charge been declined, I could have called them to authorize it. The requested procedure is NOT listed under their order policies and Bank of America advised me not to do business with them (B of A said never send anyone such a photocopy!). Evidently, CJ’s is not aware of the liability issues one takes on when accepting such confidential information. (CJ- look into this- it's federally regulated and attorneys are expensive when you have to prove how you handle confidential info after a customer- any customer- declares you caused a data breach.) Both company representatives I spoke to were EXTREMELY DISCOURTEOUS and did not listen to my questions or suggestions (including those from Bank of America support). They rudely argued that requiring this information was an acceptable procedure. Instead, had they politely informed me I could change the payment method, I would gladly have done it. We would both win! I consult to business schools all over the country. Here's a few tips: 1) Stick with the policies you state on your webpage- you are inviting trouble otherwise. 2) If you worry about card fraud, buy the insurance for it. It's common place now (like wearing underwear). 3) All I wanted to do was give you my money- people buy and recommend businesses when it is easy an easy and pleasant transaction. At first I was excited by the website and the nice sales person. Seven days later, when I was originally told it would ship next-day, forget it. I was treated like I was a scammer or way overdue on the rent. CJ, if your people attack the customer and don't listen, train them or dump them- they cost you a LOT in business and reputation. They are supposed to be paid professionals. If this was the customer service before the sale, imagine what it would be like after they take the money. Ca·ve·at emp·tor!

These are the worst people to deal with. We needed a generator to go with an existing transfer switch at a house we purchased. They knew what equipment we had and when the electrician came to install the transfer switch was not compatible. We ordered the correct one and they sent the same non compatible unit. They said we ordered the wrong one and would have to send it back at our expense. We sent it back ($114.00) and they said we had damaged it. We had never take it out of the box. The female office manager said it was ours , they would not credit it or replace it and that we should come to Arizona from Florida to pick it up. After filing a dispute with our bank, the case was closed and we purchased the right one from a reputable dealer. CJ’s Generators is a division of Norwalk who sells Cummins-Onan generators.
