My parents have always bought from Vermont Paint, I grew up going to the store and looking at all the paint colors. As an adult, I would also recommend Vermont Paint. I agree with the other reviews that the paint and other products MAY be a bit more expensive or seem higher priced. But, I think you are paying for a higher quality product AND better service. I was able to walk into the store and be pointed in the direction of what type of primer I would need for siding my house with cement boards and I was able to call the store to order the paint I needed for the exterior. Even though the paint color I chose wasn't Benjamin Moore, the employee was able to mix a custom color just by the name of the color and brand I had given them. Easy peasy. Not to mention the paint was mixed half an hour later! Then when I needed to stain stair treads to match a laminate floor, several employees were able to help me find a stain and then end up offering to mix a custom color to match the floor. This is not the case when you walk into Home Depot. At Vermont Paint you can expect better advice and help with multiple projects. This company is one that I know other builders and carpenters use as well and for a good reason.

I have been going here for almost 14 years, I have purchased hundreds if not thousands of gallons of paint and stain.nnIn the end we had a bad product that chipped and peeled away after just a few months, I offered photos, the remaining product and a full description of the preparation and application techniques.nnI was speaking with the owner Dave who started giving me the third degree over a gallon.nnHe pulled my sales up and had the nerve to indicate, I had not purchased enough paint to receive good customer service.nnI told him my painters buy the paint and he had the continued nerve to ask me who all my painters were.nnI hung the phone up so angry. I realized a gallon of paint at VT paint was more expensive and in the end cost me hundreds to repair. Afterwich I was left with a horrible customer experience.nnBusinesses like IGA, Bisbees, or even ACE hardware, have never treated me this way.nnUnprofessional and all over a gallon, one overpriced gallon of paint that I drove out of my way to purchase as they were recommended to me.nnAs VT paint is more expensive I expect exceptional customer service and if there is a problem with a bad product I expect help not what I got from the owner.nnSave time, money and frustration, shop elsewhere.
