Note to self if you forget your wallet don't go back to get your items, you will be seen as suspicious as a murder and that's how I felt yesterday going back to pay for the items I left bc I didn't have my wallet which had my ID to verify my check.
What an awful experience . Tried to order an item online, to pick up in this store . I was unable to pay as I’m Canadian, and they can’t process payments from international billing addresses. So before driving 2.5h to the store , and making a 5h round trip with my 8 month daughter across the border I decided to call the store . I asked if they could put the 70$ item aside for me , as I don’t want to drive 5h for nothing . They said their policy is not to reserve items . I get it , but this is a particular circumstance . I get policies , I work in banking , however Managers are in place for a reason, to make exceptions if it makes sense. Put the item aside for 2.5h while I drive there as an exception for service ? Don’t make a mother of a baby drive 5h for nothing . A big box toy store just filled for bankruptcy, why because they add no value of service to the customer . Walmart is going to follow if they keep this up. Why would a consumer want to shop here ? If they want no service, they can shop online from the comfort of their home ! Customers come to actual stores versus only for one thing only , service !!!
