Chittenden Dental

So happy to have found a dentist that actually cares more about prevention (and functional prevention at that!) than expensive and sometimes detrimental oral procedures. First time I've left a dentist visit excited to come back to the next to learn how breathing, posture, tongue positioning can help with grinding and over all health (read Breath by James Nestor).

I moved around a lot my whole life so I’ve been to many different dentists. In my late teens/early 20s I had about a 7 year gap between my last dental appointment, and there were definitely some things that needed checking up on ASAP. Chittenden is definitely the best and my favorite. Everyone is so kind and understanding. They speak to you like you’re already friends but still stay professional. Definitely made the right staffing choices imo. Everyone just seems genuinely happy to do their job. They’re adamant in making sure all your needs are met and your questions are answered. Even if you don’t ask! Very thorough and honest consultations. They were recommended to me by a colleague at work and I’m so glad I followed up on it. So far, just in the past few months, I’ve had more explanations, attention, and information on my oral health/hygiene than I have had my entire life. I am comfortable in understanding exactly what’s going on and how to accurately treat my teeth and mouth with care. When you come in for your appointment, you are always met with the friendliest/kindest front office staff and hygienists, never a nasty attitude or a frown. If you’re running late or need to reschedule, they care more about you personally than them missing an appointment slot. Dr Morris himself is also the best! He has a fresh and updated perspective on dentistry and realizes that we’re all humans and sometimes we overlook parts of our health. He doesn’t make you feel bad or guilty if you have a simple cavity, for example. And even the equipment is super nice. They’ve somehow created a comfortable atmosphere in a small dentist office (Frank Sinatra, modern/relaxing waiting room, warm lavender washcloths, refreshments etc.) Chittenden has made going to the dentist a pleasant experience. I actually look forward to my dental appointments now and my mouth is happy, too! So thank you to all of Chittenden Dental for helping me get back on track and take my dental health a little more seriously. Would’ve given them 10 stars if I could.

Wow! Such a warm and welcoming office, in addition to being really knowledgeable and helpful. They really want to work with you to meet your goals, and I’m super glad to be working with them to take care of my teeth.

Dr. Morris is as solid a dentist as they come. Friendly, helpful, professional, and he performed a wisdom tooth extraction in me with very, very minimal pain during and after the procedure. He takes an interest in his clients even called a few days later to check in to see how my mouth was feeling, which I’ve never heard a dentist doing before. At least in my experiences... a top notch dentist. I’d highly recommend.
