Got married here, judge lacks enthusiasm, a real let down from someone who’s been to law school. I’ll never have another day like this and his lack of enthusiasm is forever etched into my memory so much so that whenever I look at my ring I see his vacant face. The only thing that made it worth the experience was my grandmother being able to sit in court just like in the soaps she watches.

They really don't have it together. I often get notices for court appearances just days before the court date, leaving no time to prepare. In one instance they sent a sheriff one or two days before the court date to serve a notice, instead of by mail, because of a paperwork mix up. In addition there are constant disparate orders from various employees leading to other employees complaining about form and paperwork completion despite following instructions. Essentially, it's bureaucracy functioning at its poorest and having real damaging effects on people's' lives.

I got custody in full of my son March 27th and filled out all paperwork to stop child support and despite having motion filed and many calls and emails its pushing 3 months and im still paying support. There is a slow process, then there is this court which is no process speed whatsoever! I get no assistance or help and his deadbeat non working mother continues to get help left and right while I can hardly afford rent and groceries. She gets free room and board provided by the state within days of applying and I continue to lose a 3rd of my pay and get disconnect notices for electric while trying to provide for my son. 10 weeks and still the court drags it on and on and I have no recourse, apparently. I am told 3 weeks ago the magistrate has my motion yet nothing happens. Lawyer tells me she can't do anything else and here I wait. And wait, losing much needed funds Ill likely never get back and now my car is breaking down and I get no help. Im just a man trying his best to take care of my son, I follow all court stipulations and make and keep all my child's appts unlike his mother did and I get the runaround. Im happy my son is safe with me and he is happy but this is ridiculous and to this date Ive not received 1 piece of mail regarding my situation. There has to be a fairer and better way to get the proper thing done in cases like this cause this isnt right in any way shape or form.nIf you have a situation like this in the beginning stages, you better count your pennies and be prepared to wait an eternity. I don't understand and never will get why this is so difficult for a signature on a piece of paper to go from 1 office to another across the hall and be done and over with!!!! Then a fax sent to an employer to stop taking a mans money and giving it to a deadbeat mother or giving it to a benefit she shouldn't even be entitled to. Good luck to anyone going through this process, take your calming meds, or take up yoga but be sure to buckle up cause its gonna be a long bumpy ride.
