My daughter was married here. It is a beautiful venue, Jennifer is a gracious host, a wonderful experience!

This was the most beautiful venue I have ever visited. We originally found them on the Knot wedding app, set up a time to visit and instantly fell in love. We looked at several place and none stood out like Turning Stone. I literally had to double check the price because I couldn't believe this huge beautiful space would be this reasonably priced. Getting ready for our wedding was a breeze, they took care of everything and even stuck around during to make sure everything went smoothly. All ew needed for decoration was literally flowers because the lighting and the set up in the barn was so beautiful it needing absolutely nothing...we didn't even cover the tables because they were so beautiful. Jennifer had a vendor list ready for us...from transportation to food and everything in between. Everyone was extremely affordable and beyond friendly. Our wedding would not have been the same without this wonderful place and wonderful people.

We got married at Turning Stone Farm in August 2019, and it was a truly amazing experience from start to finish. Originally we planned on getting married in upstate New York, where my husband is from, but even doing a backyard wedding for our guest list size was costly and felt like a hassle. As a result, we looked farther out, and couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Jennifer, the owner of the barn, was prompt and responsive the entire planning process, and helpfully connected us with local vendors for all of our needs. Every one in Greensboro who is in the wedding industry knows each other, which was a huge help sifting through potential vendors and for streamlining the process day-of (and every one is super nice, including her son and daughter who helped us with sound and day-of coordination). We arrived on Friday around noon and left on Sunday, and I was able to coordinate a private yoga session on site for all my bridesmaids in the morning with Sophia (highly recommend to anyone!). The barn is beautiful, it’s a unique and magical spot for a wedding, or any celebration, really. It’s dog friendly and kid-friendly, if that’s what you want at your wedding; there’s plenty of places for both to run around without worries about cars, getting lost in the woods, etc. There is beautiful art decorating the wall and an eclectic chair collection, and the bridal suite is spacious and super comfortable. There are cool little side areas (connected to the main area but separated) with comfortable chairs and tables, where we set up the bar, which was great for our older guests later in the evening or friends when they wanted to get away from the dance floor. The tables and chairs provided by Jennifer and included in the rental fee are high quality, comfortable, and gorgeous. While weather was perfect on 8/24 (a nice 70 degrees and mostly sunny), our rain contingency plan would have been perfect as well—inside the barn in front of the big open window and rain on the barn roof. The fairy lights and “wooden cathedral” effect of the high ceilings lend itself to a beautiful, warm, relaxed, and slightly whimsical theme, which feels rustic without being totally in the woods or country. Truly, pictures don’t do the “feel” of Turning Stone Farm justice. One thing I really enjoyed about it is that Jennifer lets you decorate and encourages your creativity — we added fairy lights, dusty rose runners to the farm tables, huge lush bouquets (from Eva at Blossoming Bough in Greensboro, VT, who I also highly recommend), and filled thrifted mismatched glass vases with water and floating candles for extra warmth, all tied together with silver dollar eucalyptus and gold accents. While it’s a bit more work on your end compared to someone who decorates for you in an all-inclusive package, you can really make it your own. To be honest, though, the venue carries itself; it doesn’t need much at all because it’s so stately and special. We got married in the garden, family photos in the pear orchard, had cocktail hour by the barn, and enjoyed the reception in the barn itself. We had a bonfire at the end of the night and some friends stayed over night to camp on-site, and others stayed in nearby Air B&Bs (we provided a shuttle that ran back and forth). The one thing I wish I had clarified was when the night would end - I was under the impression that we were allowed to hang out until late as long as we kept music low, but we had to start clearing people out around midnight. However, the barn is attached to Jennifer’s home and I completely understand wrapping up around then, especially with a bunch of people around a big fire after drinking for several hours. Regardless, it was an amazing evening and Jennifer and her lovely family really made it happen. They were a joy to work with and the space is beautiful—I’m still hearing compliments directly and through the grapevine. Thank you so much Jennifer and the TSF team!
