This hotel has definitely seen better days. The building is a bit decrepit and the service does not live up to expectations for a Marriott luxury property. I’m a Marriott platinum member and despite checking in the day before on the app and arriving at noon my room was not ready until 6pm. Honestly had much better service at the Marriott courtyard in Burlington I stayed at the day before

My third time staying here and I love it more and more with every visit. The rooms are impeccable, and the customer service is wonderful. I love sitting outside at the fireplace every night and enjoying a cocktail.

So saddened by how this hotel has changed. This once stately hotel has lost its charm and seems to be competing with the Taconic instead of embracing its historic value. The decor changes particularly in the common areas by reception and the fireplace room are confusing and feel cheap and tacky. The courtyard has had half broken/ string lights all year, and in general the details are slipping. It used to be a highlight to stop in for a cocktail, sit quietly by the fire, but now it seems those areas were changed to cater to children play areas. I was surprised and saddened to see how generic the hotel has become as of late. It was once very high end, luxurious, and cozy and now it’s like stopping in at any basic Marriot. I know this hotel has experienced a lot of turnover contributing to its issues, but please get it together before it’s too late to turn back. Forget stopping in these days, I would rather stay almost anywhere else in Manchester. Please start putting money back into this place and bring this gem back to its former glory before you alienate the locals and your biggest supporters. Breaks my heart.nnAnd whoever is responsible for all the new blue accents, and particularly the blue Christmas lights out front should never be allowed to “decorate” again.

This place is a lodge and rambling collection of old buildings. They are well-maintained and a delight to be in. There is a terrific restaurant, a wonderful bar, an indoor pool and the fitness center where my wife and I each had a great massage. The rooms are comfortable clean and well-appointed. It's a little bit pricey but you have to expect to pay a little more for the best
