Not only is the Executive Director John Shannahan, a walking encyclopedia of the history or Bennington, but a Ambassador of the town as well. John and his assistant Diane along with an extraordinary volunteer staff, can let you know things that are happening in and around the downtown area. Their vestibule is full of posters of area events, and the staff can always point you in the right direction for what you are looking for. The historic building that they are in, is centrally located downtown, and is your source for all things Bennington. Enjoy your visit to this great little Vermont town.

Walking down main Street I came upon a group of drummers was handed a tambourine and told Just follow the rhythm. Lots of art and performers in the area.
