Ilsley Public Library

Not terribly fond of this place, if librarian's smiled it would crack their face. Always dirty, nothing is ever put away. Computers are filty and dusty. The rugs are covered with nasty stains. To cramped and furniture is poorly arranged. Seating is so bad on second floor where it's hard chairs only ud83dude02. Oh and falling apart!! No one cares and it shows! Architecture is so lame and sinking there debating tearing it down it's so bad. What a waste! The only bright spot are the gardens which are lovingly maintained.

Historical. Full of Personality. Local Hangout. Peaceful. Tons of adventure. Great Kids Area.

Great place to come and read books. Calming atmosphere, and the staff are excellent.

As far as I'm concerned this institution is arguably Middlebury's cultural hub, excluding the college of course. Books are just the beginning here. The library offers all sorts of programs, classes and activities for all ages and interests. Movie rentals, public computer access, readings...the list goes on. Great friendly, helpful staff. If you live in Middlebury get your card if you don't already have one. If you live nearby outside of town pay the meager fee it costs to join, you won't regret it.
