Generally there is ample permit parking in the areas away from downtown. While Rehoboth is free to charge whatever amount the town likes for parking privileges, there is a point at which people weigh the cost and stop returning. At $90/week (plus a $2.50 convenience fee for debit cards), it has exceeded mine. They will have to sell their funnel cakes to someone else.
VISITORS BEWARE! Excessive fines abound and if you appeal they charge you more after just wasting your time. We will find a city that treats its patrons with more respect, and we will tell our friends and family to do the same!
I got a 50 dollar ticket for “head in parking”. There was absolutely no signage stating that you can’t back in. I have Virginia license plates so I have front and rear plates. This violation is because they “can’t see” my license. I thought about the appeal process, but I read the the violation and thought why risk them charging me more money. I’ve gone to Delaware at least once a year for the past 5 years with no issues. I am never going back. I refuse to give this money hungry place anymore of my tourist dollars. I am going to make sure everyone I know knows about this. They are way better beaches on the east coast with better parking. #DontWasteYourTime

While visiting family that rented an air B&B we parked in a spot designated on the street for the house (no parking meters or signs around). Went to the boardwalk to have some touristy fun just to come back to a parking ticket on my truck. I called to discuss the issue and immediately was insulted saying I'm suppose to pay the meter to park..... Once I explained my situation a 3rd time I was given an email to send pictures and explain once again the situation after waiting almost 2 weeks I was still ordered to pay a fine for parking in a spot designated for the house we rented for the week. No respect for these people and their money hungry parking scams!
