If you have very long hair, then it may be a good idea to steer clear of this place. I went there to have my hair washed, trimmed, and flat ironed. Why three stars? Well, it was straightened pretty well overall, with the exception of a few strands that were still a bit curly (my hair is very curly and thick so it takes a while to straighten it) However, I am not so satisfied with the cut so much. I went in there with waist-length hair and when I left the salon and looked in my mirror at home, I began to realize just how much hair had been cut. I did have a good 2 inches of split ends and explained this to the stylist, but she took off more. I measured where my hair used to be and realized that the stylist had actually cut a good 4-5 inches of my hair. She also added layers that I didn't ask for. I also realized that my hair was very uneven in certain parts, so I had to take my own scissors and fix what was uneven. So my once waist length hair just about barely touches the middle of my back now. I am extremely upset about this because I had been growing out my hair for years and I only wanted a trim, not half of my hair hacked off! My hair also grows very slow due to certain health problems I have, so with that said, it will probably take at least a year and a half to two years just for that length to grow back....maybe longer. This has also recently happened to a good friend of mine. She also had close to waist length hair and had 6 inches of her hair hacked as well!! I dunno why some stylists don't listen to their clients as well as they should! Maybe their perception of an inch is much bigger than ours? But when a client asks you just to trim 2 inches, you trim just that, and no more.nnI will not be letting anyone near my hair with scissors after this. I have had this happen to me before, and plan on trimming my own hair from now on.
