Newport Town Court

I rated Newport Town Court 5 stars because I was highly satisfied with thier customer service. The clerk was very helpful & professional, I was abled to satify a fine over the phone. It took a while before I could get someone on the phone, seems like only one clerk in the courthouse & judge is only available Wednesday. Otherwise great service fast and efficient didn't have to travel to Delaware to pay a 10 year old fine.

Horribly unprofessional. My husband moved to Michigan 3 years ago and tried to get his license but he couldn't get it because he has tickets in Delaware from 2011 and they won't let him pay them until he physically goes before the judge. They refuse to understand that he's never going back to Delaware and they refuse to let him pay restitution unless he talks to the Judge in person. They expect him to take time off of work and make a trip to see the judge about some stupid traffic tickets that are 8 years old. We wanted to do a telephonic conference but the judge is only there for a handful of hours one day a week.
