Very clean metro and stations overall. Typically on time and easy to learn/understand if you are from out of town. If there are alternate routes because of repair/construction the system is very good at alerting passengers and providing alternate rails to take.
One of the better D.C. metro stations. However, the amount of homeless and panhandlers living in the White House entrance/exit makes it hard to navigate through the people. The escalators are mostly in service. The people that frequent the station are quiet and reserved, mostly White House and executive office workers, I assume.
It is a metro station. Average for DC, better than most other cities in the world.
The gift shop on the 14th street exit is fantastic, very nice staff!!
