I would choose The Children's Guild DC Public Charter School simply because they care about the education and well-being of children. I'm incredibly impressed by this school: the quality of teaching is outstanding, and pastoral care is given equal weighting. While the academic standards are high, importance is also placed on integrity, aspiration, perseverance etc. The school trips are both inspired and impressive. Most importantly, all the children in attendance seem to love the school and everything about it. I couldn't think of a better school for any parent to entrust their children's education or future than The Children's Guild.

As with any new endeavor challenges arise. However, in the face of all the challenges The Children’s Guild DC Public Charter has encountered it has remained resilient and dedicated to providing its children with quality education and caring staff. Through weekly professional development, staff is encouraged and educated on best practices with and for children. Students are tested through research-based methods in order to monitor their growth and progress. These assessments not only allow staff to see students’ performance compared to other students in the school, but the assessments show how students compare to the grade level expectation for all students in the country.

Best school in life these teachers and administration really care. There done everything they needed to do to keep my son grades up. My son has had a cancer relapse and and amputated during this time. I am so glad that Mr. DILLARD comes up and sit by bed side and did the 10 hour surgery. I am glad Ms. Brooks call me like we cusion. Ms. Giles call me like a big sister. This is a family school and a great one to be at. Don't be taken by names remember there is a large body and they took a day all wrote cards to my son. I thank them so much cause this is what us parents need and want out of a school. I don't worry when my child here and Guild you all should check out to buildings if you want open up another site. These parents will enjoy a staff like this one. Want know contact me.

My child was selected to enroll in The Childrens’s Guild, Before we accepted their Invitation we call the school to set up a date and time to conduct a walk through. Believe me when we arrive we wasn’t please to see that the school was built next to a night club but the school structure was amazing and the staff were very honest, respectful, friendly, caring & helpful. The system that they have in place to assist with the children to make it a everyday easy transition was impressive. This school was & is everything we were in need of to further my child’s education without stressing. I’m currently work at a school and they had rethinking on applying to their school hahaha. Seriously overall no complaints, all my questions where answered right on the spot and I was able to meet with all the staff members I needed to meet with including the principal. We got a warm welcome & immediately felt like family. I love it, I love it, I love it.

This place is the worst. Do not enroll your children here. The staff are ill-equipped and are hired based upon being friends and family of the so-called “leadership” of the school...leadership who actually couldn’t lead someone out of a paper bag! They are extremely disorganized, have no effective plans, cannot be trusted to adequately and professionally care for children, let alone children with special needs. Only a fool would allow their child to attend this messy organization. Or one who doesn’t care about their kid. They can front, but the truth is ugly. Stay away—they should be shut down.
