The Mac Agency: Allstate Insurance

Called the local Allstate office to get the ball rolling on converting from CA to OR due to my move.Omar Vargas handled it all over the phone; pleasant to work with, got the deets right, great at chit chatting. I asked for a rental insurance quote and received same day for review. Omar is another reason why I have stayed with Allstate since I was 18 years old and through six state moves. Each office has made the moving ov insurance easy.

I am considering dropping my auto insurance. I drive very little and have an exemplary driving record. I have been given quote quotes from other companies for approx. 1/3 less which would save me around $400 a year.

I went in here to make an adjustment to my insurance and it turns out that the agents can't do work for other agents clients which is fine so then he called my agent to help me out but he was super rude about the entire process and very aggressive. would not recommend going through this Allstate office but I highly recommend Allstate insurance.

My parents had their home and car insurance through these guys for years. We moved my mom to assisted living 4 years ago, and kept renters insurance on her remaining stuff. She no longer needs the renters insurance so i called Mac Agency in October of 18 and told them to cancel. I continued to get billing notices. When i called them in November they told me they had no record of my call in October and and that I owed for October and November. I told them I was not going to pay. The total only came to a little over $30 but it was a matter of principal. I got a dunning letter in the mail from a collection agency. So, Mac Agency is the one that screwed up, but instead of letting it drop, turned it over to a collection agency. Rather than fight it I paid the lousy $30 but I hope after the 20+ years that my parents did business with the Mac Agency and Allstate, that they choke on this check.

I just joined with Allstate a month ago or so. Omar was amazing. He gave me a great quote and I was signed up in no time. He made the process quick and easy while walking me through everything I needed to know. I’ve had better service with Allstate than I have had with almost 10 years at State Farm.
