This place needs to be torn down and v replaced with a real behavioral rehabilitation center...

After visiting this facility I was most disappointed in how some of the staff engaged with the children in this facility. While it is true that these children are incarcerated residents; it is also true to note that they are in fact only children many of which come from a troubled background. However, on another note what I found astounding is the positive energy I encountered directly from the children. They smile, laugh, tell corny jokes and are willing to share and be open. Many of them have dreams and ambitions of having a successful future; and it should be those dreams/ambitions that should be used as a foundation for true rehabilition.

This is quite euphemistically named. This is the DC Juvenile Detention Center. Nothing more, nothing less.
