My daughter took her 2 week old baby to see Dr. Averitt today for a weight check. Upon arriving the nurse who checked them in was extremely rough with the baby trying to get measurements and weight. They were taken to a room where it says to keep the baby in a diaper only for when the Dr. comes in. Over an hour later the Dr. does finally come and berates my daughter for not having the baby wrapped up warm. Her temp was normal by the way. Then Dr. made up a cute little song about my daughter having a baby every year. Very inappropriate. Dr. then went on to berate her for the babies weight. I found this whole incident very unprofessional and disturbing. My daughter does have a large family and did choose to go there for her children’s medical needs. I will encourage her to find a Dr. that shows compassion and caring at a time when it is needed most. I only wish I could have been there today. Very unhappy!!

Dr. Averitt is the best. She takes her time and makes sure you understand the diagnosis. My daughter absolutely loves her.

We have been seeing Dr. Averitt for about 2 years now. I think she's a great doctor. The entire staff is very friendly. They answer the phone when you call. You don't wait forever to be seen. She's very knowledgeable the staff is helpful. We wouldn't change providers for anything!

She makes you feel like a terrible parent if your child is slower at completing some of their milestones then others. She basically said I was a terrible parent because my child wasn’t saying words like mama and dada when she just turned six months old. I would not recommend her. She’s just a terrible doctor in general.

Horrible woman who thinks it’s okay to scold a new, concerned parent for asking for testing. I was concerned my daughter was dehydrated and she, in fact, was! We spent 48 hours in the hospital the next week for dehydration!!nHer ego will get in the way of her caring for your child! She was offended that I questioned her so, instead of listening to my concerns and taking a closer look, she dismissed them and told me off.nI highly recommend you take your child to more qualified doctors such as NWA pediatrics; so happy we ended up there
