As a junior high school and high school principal, I worked for years with Judge Zimmerman from school attendance, abuse and all types of violations of the criminal code. I have always found her to be compassionate, fair but strong, stern and straight forward in dealing with youth who had made some very poor decisions. Her willingness to hold young people accountable (as well as their parents) with some very tough decisions on her part served as a catalyst to get them back on track to opportunity to be successful and contributing members of society. She is an asset to our community, schools, and most of all the families and youth of Washington County.
Stacy Zimmerman is one reason my son lost his childhood and later died from years of post traumatic syndrome from her uncaring and needing to win cases and not putting the child’s best and long term interest first. She made her career by putting little kids behind bars. She was adamant about making examples of kids at age 16 in arkansas and trying them as adults for minor problems and ruining their their chances of being successful in adulthood. She got her judgeship at the price of the happiness of many.
