Cute store at the Mall and not too pricey. I will definitely go back there when visiting Portland.
Sometimes when you're in Oregon you forget that Oregon is where you are. Then what are you supposed to do? How are you supposed to prove to yourself that you're in Oregon and not somewhere else entirely, like California or in the Lascaux caves in France? Well you simply go to this store and you are immediately reminded of and contextualized into Oregon. It's so Oregon that I sometimes wonder if it really is Oregon, or if it's a dramatized version of Oregon. Like this store is a modern art piece. If an image being repeated so many times means it loses its meaning, being in this store makes Oregon lose its meaning. I wonder if it really had any to begin with.
