The closing of the Saline county recycling center at the landfill on Saturdays is so terribly inconvenient to working folks. The main office blamed the shut down on the pandemic. All considering, this is difficult to believe. Mean while I have several bags of clean recycling sitting in my garage. Very disappointing!!!!!
The recycling service offered at the landfill is unusable. I have taken multiple loads of broken down cardboard to be recycled only to find the recycle dumpsters full. Also, the opening in the dumpster is smaller than many boxes.
The saline recycling center held an awesome event called the re-fashion bash. It was where contestants had to design and make an outfit made as completely as possible out of recyclable materials. They had everything prepared and the whole thing was really fun. Whenever we needed help or had questions about the project they kindly aided us and answered all of our questions. These people are kind and helpful and get things done professionally ;)
I love that we have an organization is Saline County promoting recycling and helping to make it available to all the schools in the area. It is a great organization.
Recycle Saline will not only arbitrarily cancel landfill vouchers without warning or refund, but will be incredibly rude about it as well. Really, the entire office needs to be defunded and closed. Don't waste your time.
