Walmart Pharmacy

I have used this pharmacy exclusively for about ten years. Overall it's been fine but in the last year or so they have made some changes that really make the whole process much more convenient and less time consuming. If you request they will text you when it is time to fill each medication for which you have a prescription on file, and when you text back, they will fill it and text you when it is ready to pick up. This has saved me lots of phone calls and extra trips. I love it. Also, the particular staff that they have at the moment is very friendly and cordial.

I needed prescriptions transferred from another pharmacy in fritch tx. I called back 4 or 5 hours later to check on the prescriptions. I was told the pharmacist called but the line was busy. The girl asked if she should try to call again. I'm sorry but that is a lame work ethic. What would be the best coarse of action? Of course call back you freaking jello head. Peoples lives and health depend on your actions. Dont be irresponsible!

It was ok

They told me it would take about five minutes for my perscription to be ready. They told me they would call my name. I then waited 30 minutes and they never called out my name. I got in the back of line and waited to get my medication. Not a big deal but they seemed disorganized.

Disappointing customer care! Had a Rx called in that was not covered by my insurance, which is very common with name brands. Instead of calling me or contacting the Dr as is usually what happens (I work with this) they waited till I was there to tell me. All this ended up being a computer mistake according to the pharmacist. Due to me changing jobs my insurance will be inactive for 30 days. I was advised by the pharmacist that I will have to pay 1,200 if I wanted the Rx during that time. I explained my frustration and what should have happened and she agreed but simply gave me a shoulder shrug and a smile. I had no choice but to speak to the pharmacist because the young man that was also working walked away from me when I asked a question. He refused to speak and just pointed at the card machine motioning me to pay for the Rx that I was able to pick up. I did speak to a store manager regarding the issue and he was very apologetic which I appreciate. I will continue to follow up with management to have this resolved in hopes that my Rx will be taken care of due to their lack of customer service and their computer issue that left me in a bad position. If this was addressed several hours prior I would have been able to get it taken care of. Left very disappointed from a store I shop at weekly if not more.
