As novice kayakers my wife and I had a great time on our tour. Our guide, Josh, was incredibly friendly and informative about the local flora and fauna. As a local to Rockaway Beach, Josh was also able to give us a historical perspective of the area we were exploring. Our trip, Lyttle Lake and Crescent Lake, was quiet, meditative and allowed us to get comfortable maneuvering our kayaks while enjoying the scenic beauty. We can't wait to come back and level-up our kayaking skills. Thank you Kayak Tillamook and Josh for the great experience!
Had a fun trip with Josh as our guide. We had booked the Three Graces trip but it was windy and there was a small craft advisory. We set out toward the Three Graces anyway and saw a bald eagle enjoying a fish along the way. We decided to turn around due to the wind, and paddled to the back of the bay where we saw a heron, 2 kingfishers, a few pigeon guillemots, etc. Josh is a local and shared interesting facts with us throughout the tour. Would definitely take another trip with Kayak Tillamook!
Could not have asked for a better experience than Kayak Tillamook. From the beginning, Marc was very attentive and communicative to make sure we were all set for our trip. Once we got there and started the kayak trip (Miami Cove/River) our guide Josh was nothing short of exceptional. As a born native of Rockaway he shared so much insight and info about the area, environment, wildlife, recommendations on places to see, eat, and explore. Our group of four had an amazing time and we will be going back as soon as we can! Highly recommended.
Our family of six had a great time kayaking on the Nehalem in mid-July. Our guide was laid-back but full of information on the local nature and community. Very refreshing!
Great way to get out in the water with people who have done the planning and know cool places to take you. I highly recommend going on some fun trips with these guys.
