It seems great. Then it's only open on Saturday for 3 hours...the day when most people have their only free time.

I am giving this post office a 5 star review because of who they used to be. Not who they are now. But in hopes that they will change for the better.nnFirst before I begin, switch to E-bill!!! Your bills are late because of you, not the post office. Your bill is due the same time every month. Your bill isn't magically not due because you didn't get the letter in the mail. The post office didn't make you late, you are simply irresponsible.nnThat being said, my grandfather used to be the post master for this place back in the 90s and I remember going there as a kid and EVERYONE was so happy to be there. They enjoyed their job and they did it well. Even as an adult I used to hear such great stories about this place and how much they contributed to the community. I am sad that after he died, this place did not continue his wonderful legacy with such passion. I've heard when going there now, the room is just filled with depression and rude reps. It could just be other people's bitterness and not the reps. But USPS of Batesville, if you are reading this, and what people are saying about you is true, please for my grandfathers sake, return this to the icon it used to be. Take ownership of any mistakes your employees make, respond to peoples complaints and try to fix them. My grandfather lived for this place, he had so much pride and respect for this business and town. Don't let him down. RIP Kenneth Smith.

I work for a fairly large company that sends tons of packages via usps and they refuse to pick up package on friday at noon even though that when we close. Then laugh in our face when we say its not our job to bring alllllll the packages to them. This is why we have slowly started switching all of our business to fedex. Customer service is awful as well.

Have been to this location twice and both times the man working the front was too lazy to go to the back and get my package that I needed that day and drove 45 minutes to get.
