In my opinion the school is a nice school with great people. Without a place to review their bookstore I must come here. I have never been so displeased with a bookstore in my entire life. The opt in opt out thing is ridiculous. In case you don't know this already this is where you must choose to rent all your books or none of your books from the bookstore. Some people may be like oh that's not so bad because they are $20 a credit hour so usually $60 or $80 for classes with a lab. That's fine and all except you can BUY most of the books for cheaper than $60 or $80. I could forgive all this because I can go online and buy them. However I've seen 3 instances where the bookstore refused to give the ISBN number to students for the books they need for their class. Plus right now my wife is going through nursing school and they want her to sign a contract that says that she will pay for all the books through them for the year and they will hold them for her. Now financial aid will pay for them in the spring ... We don't know about the summer or fall yet because of our financial changes. Unlike the other books in their rental program most of these books are a lot more expensive. She gets to keep most of them as well. The two most expensive ones however are supposed to be returned... That's the school bookstore for you.

Such a great Community College! Very affordable, has great instructors, the classes are a decent size, and it’s just an over all great learning environment. I really wish that it was a four year university; I had a wonderful time there.

The University of Arkansas is growing and expanding in positive ways and into Texarkana. This outstanding campus is located on U of A Way near UAMS' new medical site. The university is near the Four States Fairgrounds and across from a local park, Bobby Ferguson Park. It's rapidly getting ready to stand on it's on and the signs have already changed to U of A at Texarkana.
