I love going to this library! It is easy to find the right books, and I think it is a beautiful new design. The staff are always kind and helpful. Decorations are modern and nice.

Trying to research Hempstead County. Staff told us they had no books about the county. Not one single book! They do have wifi so researching online worked. There were no electrical plugs at the large table only Cat 5 wiring or empty boxes. We found a table for two facing the back wall that had electrical outlets to plug in our computers. Then the staff were very loud (we could hear them despite wearing earbuds and listening to music) and it continued for the 4 hours we were there. The building looks brand new but it is a bad design. The ceiling is an open design with the industrial beams exposed so any noise echoes throughout the building. The staff were friendly but the overall experience was a sad disappointment for a library.
This place is a joke! Employees are always talking loud, computers don’t work half the time and the copy/printers don’t work. The computer network service need to go back to school. Also staff needs to be educated about computers.
