Crystal Ridge Distillery

We went to this distillery today and had a WONDERFUL experience thanks to Janet. She was very sweet and helpful. We ordered a couple of tastings and she answered all our questions and was very sweet.nnThis was the first time I had tried actual moonshine and was very impressed with the flavors; especially the maple bacon, espresso and the apple pie. I highly recommend trying a flight if you can.

From the outside Crystal Ridge looks like a warehouse, but once you get inside, WOW! It features an extremely clean, modern design with hints of the West and plenty of wood. Think 'Yellowstone' without the serial killing.nnI'm not normally a fan of moonshine, but I'm a fan of Crystal Ridge. The distillery has two types of straight moonshine and 15 (I think) different types of flavored moonshine.nnDon't miss a tasting! You will have trouble limiting your choices and the cost is very reasonable. A tasting also includes a free tour of the distillery.nnEven better, there are rumors the owners are planning on re-opening the bar and plan to serve craft cocktails featuring their own products.nnIt is worth your time to visit Crystal Ridge. My wife enjoyed our visit so much she wanted to go to work there.

***Warning: Be careful with the Pecan Moonshine (you will have to buy a bottle (or 2 for friends) after tasting it is so delicious)*** I can't believe how little alcohol taste bleeds through their moonshine! I took a tour with my dad where they talked about how their micro-biologist owner can precisely separate out the best parts of the moonshine. They are super friendly and just started so I'm happy to support them during COVID. Many outstanding flavors but Pecan is unbeatable and the blueberry is also surprising. All the flavor you expect without the strong alcohol taste (even at 70 proof/ 35%). Tasting with tour currently open only $10 for to try 6 flavors(November 2020).

Awesome experience. Bartender that did the tasting was knowledgeable on the product and fun to talk to. One of the owners did the tour and really knew his history and went into detail on the process of making the shine. I would highly recommend stopping by for a tour and a tasting.

Came in to buy some Moonshine and ended up doing a tasting. The employee (didn’t catch his name) was super knowledgeable and friendly. You could tell he was passionate about the process! He was also super aware of sanitizing and sanitized between each sample. We spoke to the owner too and everyone was so friendly. Would love to see this place post pandemic!
