PDX9 - Amazon Fulfillment Center

Good place to work for some easy fast cash and the people are honesty very kind. Long work shifts but there are some people there that make it go pretty quick. Over all a good place to get a job for a bit and I'd recommend it.

Worked at this location for about 4 months. I personally enjoyed the physical work. Kept me in shape, and increased my stamina. I totally recommend at least trying it. It can be challenging, but its rewarding. It took my body about a month to adjust to the long work hours, And physical activity. In outbound ship dock, there’s so many different departments to learn. It’s fun because it’s not repetitive. I personally don’t like showing up to work doing the same routine day after day, so this job never got boring, unless it was slow. This warehouse is super huge, so lots and lots of people, and lots of walking. The only con I have to say, is there is no music!!! With all the diversity and personalities, being an Empath/INFJ, is a lot harder to focus with all the different energies and emotions you consume. Unfortunately my mentality didn’t last at this location. Might’ve helped if they allowed us to listen to music. It would’ve been nice to zone out lyrically, rather then..... this and that.... or yeh!!! Lol- I tried to sneak them in a couple times, and I got paranoid, or tooooo hot from my beanie or hoodie. I feel like a lot ofnPeople do it, but I’m picky when it comes to my body temp.nnAll my opinion, I recommend trying it out for yourself though. Be positive, stay humble, be kind and helpful. Don’t apply here if you ever mess up with anything they can replace you in a split second. I was on medical leave and they terminated me when I came back to work.
