Ihave a question and maybe someone could help. I was in an automobile accident the other day. The accident was not my fault but the young lady's Ms Laster who hit me while I was stopped at a stop sign. She offered to pay for my repairs but I said no. That I would call the police and just turn it over to the insurance companies. The police came out and she was issued a ticket for hitting a parked car. Her Silverado was able to be driven off. It looked like it just received a dent on the front bumper. My car was totaled with the front being driven back into my car putting a hole in my radiator. . I've contacted the insurance companies and nothing is happening. I don't have a way to get back and forth to work unless I ask family or friends for rides. I'm getting stressed and developing migraines, thus getting a shot for it this morning. I've contacted several people as to what I should do, whether to contact an attorney, wait it out or what. I was told not to contact an attorney yet because they have 30 days to act. .What am I to do for transportation to and from work. If I continue to stress over it the migraines will just keep coming back. I had insurance with Shelter and the young lady was covered by Farm Bureau. Any suggestions??? Just as a side note Ms Laster was arrested at the scene for 4 outstanding warrants on Monday afternoon and was released from jail today.nnHere is the latest update Farm Bureau has talked with me, they've talked with Ms Laster, they have the police report showing it was her fault and was ticketed, now they are wanting to wait and talk to the officer that came to to the scene before they do anything. They could have called and talked to officer after it had been reported instead of waiting until Ms Laster had been released from jail. I get the feeling that John Clifton the agent handling is not wanting the insurance company to pay out. Meanwhile I'm losing money because I can't get back and forth to work, I have no transportation, I'm getting migraines worrying about it thus going and getting a shot. I might contact an attorney after the 30 days and see if I can get reimbursed for lost wages, medical for the migraines and shot personal hardship along with the cost of the vehicle. Any suggestions as for an attorney?

We opened a claim on October 5, 2017 because our floors in our house had buckled around the AC vent and then randomly throughout our house. We just had the air conditioning worked on in September and the AC guy crawled under to see what the issues were and found a collapsed part of the ductwork underneath and the whole underneath part of the house was soaked. John Clifton was the adjuster that worked out claim. He was very unprofessional from the beginning and said he actually had no clue what was going on and was actually too large to fit under our house to see what the problem was. So, farm bureau hired an engineer to come look. By the time the engineer came to inspect, it had been more than a month from the time the AC guy was under there and the temperatures had also fallen so we weren’t using the AC so much so it was completely dry all but the underneath part of the floors which were still damp. He said we absolutely had enough ventilation but could pinpoint what caused the damage BUT in his opinion it was the AC/ductwork. So fast forward a week, because I assumed we would know something by then, I called John Clifton at the Rison office and had to leave a message for a return call because he was not there.... Matter of fact, he wasn’t there ALL week and I left several messages with the lady that andwers the phone for him to return my call. Never got a call from him. He was always at lunch eating or out in a call or too busy to actually return a phone call from one of his customers. Finally I called the corporate office in Little Rock (?) and a very sweet lady there said well he’s in the McGehee office today, let me give u that number! So I call that office to speak with an EXRREMELY nice lady that gave me a call when Clifton returned from lunch and patched me through to him. He answers and I introduced myself and said he was a tough man to get ahold of because I had called several times and left several messages for him to return my call which he never did. He was absurdly rude and stated he didn’t have time to call people back and there was nothing to tell me. Well, I’m actually in customer service myself, and I ALWAYS call people back. Even if I’m cooking supper while I’m off work. So I let him know how rude and unprofessional he was and he acted as if he absolutely could not give a flip less. I made some calls and was told to give his supervisor, Lynn Tipton, a call because in ALL our years of using Farm Bureau we have NEVER had any type of unprofessional actions directed towards us. Well I decided against calling him because I was giving Clifton the benefit of the doubt. So I waited another week and called...low and behold he was at lunch again!!! I told the lady at the desk that I would give him until 3PM to give me a call because I was not going to play this insurance adjuster game with him. That if I didn’t not hear from him I would definitely go to his supervisor and post a review on here. Well he definitely called back and was so nice he seemed very condescending. Then as soon as he got off the phone he mailed out a letter, because we received it the next day, stating they would need more time to work our claim. Funny how u can threaten going above someone and actually get some things accomplished. So in the meantime I’ve called the engineer and he stressed that in his opinion it was he AC and we definitely had adequate ventilation under our house. Fast forward to this morning....John Clifton calls and denies our claim stating there’s not enough ventilation under our house. Now mind u, we have been there over 5 years with NO problems with floors or ventilation. Farm Bureau seriously should look into more professional adjuster. Clifton is an unprofessional ass..... My whole issue with Farm Bureau in Rison is Clifton’s attitude and him not realizing if we as paying customers aren’t paying premiums for insurance he wouldn’t have a job! They honestly should have a field trip to the Office in Monticello and take some notes.
