First time going to Hoppy and I enjoyed the experience very much! The bartender Jeff(1) was friendly and attentive, even as the taproom filled with several customers he was on top of assisting customers with a friendly demeanor and quick service. The cider I had (Loganberry) was delicious and instead of having the intended 1 drink and leave kind of day, I ended up having three and meeting some fun people, who I joined in a game of scrabble with. (Hoppy provides games to play while there) It was convenient to have the Local cow close by to grab food which was delicious as well. The servers were kind enough to deliver the food to me so I wouldn’t have to wait for my order and Hoppy allows you to bring in outside food to eat. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing and I can see the place being a new regular spot to go to on the weekends. ud83dude01
Great shop, great customer service. I went in to buy supplies for a first time brew. The staff was super helpful with picking out equipment, and giving advice on the whats and whys. Brewing terminology can be a bit confusing for a beginner, and I didn't get any of the typical pretentious responses that you expect to get from people who work in small shops in the Portland area. I'm definitely going back.
Friendly staff, nice environment
Great place come here all the time. Lots of taps always a few darks, sours, the unique stuff not just 25 ipa's like everywhere else.
Nice people and a quiet place to grab a beer. You can bring food in and there are good take out food places nextdoor and across the street.
