It is a really good school, most teachers care for their students and their success both in their grades and their personal growth (obviously if you show interest in the classroom and in your grades). Also, there is always someone willing to help even if your situation is out of their department.nI highly recommend this High School to everyone. :)

Phenomenal secondary education institution. I really enjoyed my time here because I found a majority of the teachers care about their students, and there are ample opportunities for students with diverse interests to get involved! Additionally, there are great opportunities to explore academic interests through the Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs. Proud to now call myself an alum!

We have one of the best academic, sports, and band programs in the nation! I love this school! The teachers are great, and we are such a big family!

As far as academics go, Bentonville has a superb program that's way ahead of the rest of the state. The biggest downside is that the school is overcrowded to the point of some students being forced to retake classes and multiple students having to stand or sit on the ground to eat at lunch (despite there being 3 lunches). Some of the teachers aren't very good at teaching their subjects, yet some are superior, as expected with most decent schools. This being said, most great teachers have interns and the ones that Bentonville always gets seem to be the ones that can't teach whatsoever, and the students' grades suffer from poor advisory in the subjects.

There is one focus at this school: test scores. BHS wants to put out the highest test scores and the highest numbers, so they look good on paper. Anything outside of that (besides football) is sacrificed. That's why you won't find any shop classes and why students are all pushed toward AP and honors classes, even if they're not ready. That's why athletes get special treatment over all other students. That's why the schools organization is set up to punish low performers.nnIn order for BHS to maintain total control, the students are treated like criminals. Everything is overly strict and just about every student gets detention for one thing or another. Unfortunately, most teachers buy into this mindset as well. Since the students don't feel respected, they don't return respect, and the learning experience suffers.
