This is a hard review to write. I've only been there once, for a special screening and a q&a followup with a show runner/author. My understanding is that it caters to mostly art and limited release movies, and I am so happy that Santa Fe has cinema's like this. I might not go often, but I really enjoy them when I'm there. *Thanks to George R.R. Martin!* First, the Cinema itself. It's very small. Like seating for 120 people small. It's clean, well kept and comfy, even if the chairs were a little small for my 6' frame. The screen is smallish. Not sure what the measure is, but it's not much bigger than what you can get in a home theater easily enough. But you go for the experience AND the productions! They have a full bar and typical movie snacks and popcorn. I had a ball there and cannot wait for the next occasion to visit.

Love the connected bookstore. Nice small town atmosphere with popular names. Definitely Southwestern but not overly "western" feel.

Tbe theater is a great piece of history. It is quaint and cozy. I saw a holiday showing with a dinner and a movie. It was packed and a bit crowded, which made it all the more fun. The food was good. The drinks are just ok. It was well worth the experience!

I enjoy an occasional visit to this venue, but it's not great for film viewing. Both the screen and projection equipment are close to the floor and people walking down the center aisle throw shadows that cover substantial portions. Further, the seating "bowl" is virtually non-existent. If someone sits in front of you, move!

Lovely theater with a great staff. It's a also the right kind space for stand up comedy, which they present from time to time. You can have a nice drink as well as popcorn & more. It's in downtown Santa Fe, so come early to find parking. If you're coming from Albuquerque, you can take the Railrunner practically to the door.
