This Church was founded in 1988 by a group of Catholic missionaries who gave away the first ceramic image of the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, which would be the patron saint of the El Torbes community and who decided that the name of the chapel would be under her dedication, at the same time they collaborated in the construction and elevation of the Mission Cross. Its patron saint festivities are held on November 27 of each year according to the ecclesiastical calendar and set for the celebration of the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, that day First Communions are held for children who receive the body of Christ for the first time.
