It is the most emblematic colonial baroque architectural jewel of America in Venezuela. Her real name is Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. This beautiful temple is located on the hill El Vigía of the town of Pirit, west of Anzoátegui state, just 25 minutes from the capital of the region. It is the most emblematic tourist attraction of the referred town. It was built between 1674 and 1745 under the tutelage of Fray Salvador Romero. It covers a rectangular area almost forty meters long and twenty meters wide. Its decoration and culmination is attributed to Fray Cristóbal Martínez It has a three-level bell tower with a pyramid dome. It is divided into three naves by eight pillars joined by semicircular arches that support most of the wooden roof and wrought iron lamps. Its facade attracts attention because it is completely white walls with wooden doors. The more than 25 images of saints there exposed mostly date from 1975. The most representative figure is the Immaculate Conception, to whom they pay tribute every December 8. In the right chapel is the image of Our Lady of Sorrows and in the left chapel is San Juan Evangelista, María Auxiliadora and El Nazareno.

It is a very pretty church, I could only meet her from the outside but she left me fascinated. It was built between 1674 and 1745 by Fray Salvador Romero, is one of the oldest churches in Venezuela in the colonial baroque style
