This is the camp of Felix's conuco, an old man who lives alone in the mountain where the Cabriales river is born, I had the opportunity to know the place thanks to the friends of @caminosdemontana_venezuela who guided me to this remote place, they promote it as a path of the Spaniards, and basically they have the exclusivity of this route, but in reality the path of the Spaniards as such goes down the row to the west of this route, I call it the Camino Real through the estate of Señor Félix and the waterfall la Reina that is downhill from this camp; The site as such has two fire pits, a terrace where 3 or 4 tents can fit, a hillside where many others can be located, there are two nearby water sources and the headwaters of the Cabriales River a few meters below, the camp rests on Mr. Félix's little ranch, since it provides a roof for the fire pit in case of rain and the man enjoys the company of the campers, and has many stories to share, a very interesting character who lives exclusively from what he sows and what taken by tourists, access to the camp is through a 4.5-kilometer path that borders the Cabriales River until it reaches a fairly steep hill where the walk becomes more technical and demanding, the experience was pleasant and interesting , the hike and the Canyoning activities provided by Edduin, the mountain guide who exploits this route, the hike is two to three hours depending on the physical faculty of the hikers and you can see the pine where e There is the terrace of the camp from about half of the route, unfortunately this pine was burned and is dying, I imagine it was a show when it was in its splendor ...
