La Torreta de San Jacinto

Whenever I could frequent this beautiful place I did it. Either at noon when I had lunch in the evening or in the evenings very close to see the grandparents dancing. There are very few benches to sit compared to the number of people who always frequent the place and its adjacencies to take a short break in them.

You can use it as free time to wander with children, no ice cream parlor, cafes, clothing stores, chocolateria, this house of Bolivar. Etc

It is a place better known as the Venezuelan Square or San Jacinto, now on Fridays they play music and many seniors enjoy a puyero

This building was part of what was the Convent of San Jacinto, demolished by the earthquake of 1812 and rebuilt in the following years. It functioned as a convent until the 1860s, when the city market was installed nearby. Currently it is a space dedicated to Venezuelans, especially to Caracas, to show the world that Venezuela is a very important center for musical recreation.

Historic place restored and open to the public a few years ago. It allows to know and evoke the architecture of the time. They used to offer a free guided tour
