The ecclesiastical parish of San Martin de Porres of the Community of Montes-la Guaira, was founded on October 23, 1983 by Exmo Mons Francisco de Guruceaga Iturriza, second bishop of the Guaira. Currently the parish comprises 17 sectors or neighborhoods that are pastorally attended, including the sectors located on the old road -Caracas la Guaira-, its parish headquarters is a small church that is located on the ground floor of the private school of Montesano, is located there the parish office, the most holy sacrament, the daily Eucharist and the image of the patron of that parish, a wood carving image of San Martin de Porres.
