Unidad Educativa Dr. "Leonardo Ruiz Pineda"

The Educational Unit Dr. Leonardo Ruiz Pineda, begins in the 70s, with the name of Common Core Cycle at the initiative of the same community, who saw the population growing and with it the need for a school institution that will house, not only their own children, but those of adjacent neighborhoods. This is how a three-story structure is built. The inauguration took place in 1975, managing to cover the registration for the first, second and third years of the Common Cycle. This institution worked as a Basic Cycle until the 80s with the direction of Prof. Marco Antonio Santos, then acquired the name of Educational Unit to meet the demand of the population, the diversified level that allowed the graduation of the new high school graduates was created. In the institution works the Third Stage of Basic Education (seventh, eighth, ninth) and Diversified Medium (first and second science) where the Bachelor of Science degree is obtained. The Campus was incorporated into the National Bolivarian Licenses Project, a project that began its execution with the diagnosis and was implemented from all its components as of September 2005.
