Gimnasio José Beracasa

It is a publicly owned facility managed by the Venezuelan state through the National Sports Institute of Venezuela (IND), it has an approximate capacity to receive 5,000 spectators. It serves as headquarters for the Venezuelan local basketball team Cocodrilos de Caracas, one of the 10 teams belonging to the Professional Basketball League of Venezuela, for the local Magic Volleyball team of Caracas, one of the 6 belonging to the Venezuelan Volleyball League , and for Caracas Futsal, one of the 6 teams belonging to the Futsal Superior Tournament. The entire United Nations sports complex was built on the occasion of the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas. The venue was baptized in 19835 under that name, in honor of José Beracasa Amrán, a renowned Venezuelan athlete and leader who stood out in several disciplines, the most important being Basketball, president of PASO. Before that, the court was known only as the United Nations Park of Paradise.
