It is the main monument of the entrance of the Mene village of Mauroa, Mauroa It is one of the 25 municipalities of the Venezuelan state of Falcón. It is made up of 3 parishes and its capital is Mene de Mauroa The municipality experienced a stage of economic development in the early twentieth century based on oil exploitation.
