I have been traveling to more than 40 countries, and to my opinion this is the best posada on Earth. Rooms, restaurant, meals, service are of very high level, one of best meals of Venezuelan contemporary cuisine... on the other hand the posada’s concept is to make you feel like at home. The posada is located in the mountains close to Mérida in a colonial style buildings, installations of the restaurant and the posada are amazing, apart from this, there are so many beautiful plants and birds around, feels like it is a rainforest. The room is beautiful with the king size bed and private bathroom with a very hot shower, rooms as well as restaurant have access to free Wi Fi. The restaurant offers high end dishes at a very good price, this is the strong point of the posada, because one of the owners are chef who traveled the world and worked in one of some best restaurants in Spain. The second owner is a German Venezuelan, maybe this is the reason why there are so many excellent details in the installations of the posada. There is also a SPA at the posada, but I never had chance to make an appointment as I was on business trip and suffered from lack of time. Security. It is save. It’s very important. Service. I would like to mention that every single stuff at the restaurant or the posada was amazing. Waiters know everything about the menu and every dish, they tell you the concept of the posada and the idea of each masterpiece which comes out of the kitchen. The kitchen is opened and very clean, you can see everything what is going on there, on the other hand chefs can receive the feedback of their dishes immediately. Atmosphere. It’s simply a paradise. Everyone is happy and stuff is trying to do their best to make YOU happy. The call this place “closer to the Heaven/sky” (más cerca del cielo), first, because it is in the mountain, second, because it is out of the world and it brings out-of-the-world-experience.
