Unfortunately, the hermitage of Carmen is in a state of deterioration due to the government's indifference towards historical icons, it is probably the oldest church in today's Vargas state, in it was the body of the liberator when it was brought from Colombia.

Historic site of the Guaira, beautiful for its colonial constructions, but totally abandoned and left to its fate by the authorities that do not do their work and by their inhabitants, who lack a sense of belonging.
