The Bolivarian Primary School "Guillermo de León", was formed by the unification of the unitary schools that existed in the population, in the year 1945, taking the name of Federal School. Then comes a circular from the Ministry of Education that designates it as the Federal School "Guillermo de León", in honor of the illustrious poet and essayist born in the city of Coro in 1853. The first headquarters of the institution was located in a house rented to Mr. Jesus Villa on Commerce Street. The founder of this educational site was the teacher and first director of the Rogerio Espinosa campus, by then parading teachers in their classrooms: Elvia Jatem de Homes, Nhur Jatem, Josefa Millano, Lamberto Oberto, María Concepción Reyes, among others. The school population of Murcia was growing steadily, for this reason the need arose to manage a new headquarters, located on Ecuador Street; which begins to work in the year 1959 and becomes a National Graduate School "Guillermo de León", a term that lasts a short time since in 1960 it is named as the School Group "Guillermo de León"; by that time a large number of graduate teachers are incorporated among them: Cleotilde de Cahuao, Zaida Muyales, Egly de Márquez, Mary Morles, Zoraida de Sánchez, and others; all of them under the direction of Honorio Sánchez. By 1968, the teacher José Rafael Rivero, who was relieved after his retirement by the teacher Yolanda Gutiérrez, takes the direction of the campus by order of the Ministry of Education, holding the position until he retires; to give way to the teacher Alidis de Zavala from 1994 to 2005. On June 17, 2002, the institution began as Bolivarian School "Guillermo de León", then the teacher Zulema López de M. takes the reins of the institution from 2005 to 2007 from there, the Profa. Gladys Gómez de López exercises management until 2010, the date on which and at the time of the PEIC's elaboration, the director is about to be appointed, and the Lic. Blanca Flor Chirinos G.
