Josephum Vitalis (09/15/2020)
It is one of the most sober and beautiful cathedrals in Venezuela.
Manuel F. Rodriguez (02/18/2020)
It is one of the most beautiful churches of the Indoespañol style. It was completed during the second government of Carlos Andrés Pérez, according to the original plans of the architect Bartolomé Danphoux. The altarpiece that covers the bottom of the Main Altar is of exceptional beauty.

As beautiful and traditional as ever, on Palm Sunday with its bouquets in abundance for all parishioners. The largest in the city. One of the oldest in the city. Located in the main historical center and with the Plaza Bolívar on its side, orchestras, municipal chambers, historic houses, etc.

The cathedral of Ciudad Bolívar was designed by the engineer Bartolomé de Amphoux in 1767. The construction was stopped until 1840 when it was retaken by Bishop Mariano Talavera and Garcés who changed the image of the original project, finally, from 1974 to 1979, the building is intervened, conforming the initial characteristics of the Amphoux project. Its plant is of three naves, the central one is separated of the lateral ones by a set of columns and presents a false vault. The north side wall has stained glass windows with images of the Blessed Sacrament. The facade presents neoclassical elements and Baroque style. It has three gates that communicate with each of the ships, its once separated by pilasters of square section. Attached to the facade there is a bell tower built in 1844 that ends in a small dome. On the south side wall of the Cathedral the general was shot Chief Manuel Piar on October 16, 1817 at 5:00 p.m. It has the highest Indian cathedral order in Venezuela, in which the patrons of Angostura Santo are enthroned Tomas Apostle and Our Lady of the Snows. It was declared a National Historical Monument in Official Gazette No. 26,320 of August 2, 1960. Historical site and religious gathering, excellent maintenance.
