In the Angostura Museum or "Casa del Correo del Orinoco" - as this building has always been known - the significant newspaper "El Correo del Orinoco", published among others by Simón Bolívar, was edited during the war of Venezuelan indepence. Currently the museum has among its purposes to be both a house museum that shows the colonial architecture of the ancient "Angostura del Orinoco" or Ciudad Bolívar and present cultural content about the city. This house is probably one of the beautiful colonial period that still stand in the city.
