Beautiful Museum in a large house of colonial architecture, with beautiful internal spaces, there is the first printing press that was used in Venezuela during the colonial era, there is a lot of republican history there, located on the Orinoco Promenade in front of the Puerto Blohm (Puerto de las lachitas) in the historic center (town) of Ciudad Bolívar.

Fundación Museo Histórico de Guayana (FMHG), a private non-profit foundation. Founded by Dr. Oswaldo De Sola Ricardo on March 19, 1992 through the Bicentennial Foundation of Simón Bolivar. The objective of the FMHG has been framed in presenting an integral vision of the history of the Guayana Region, in a didactic and lively way, by means of the exhibition of documents, portraits, objects, maps, furniture of the different epochs, gathered to the daily life and the celebration of local ephemeris. The FMHG has a heritage house and a multipurpose room in the Heres corner, Libertad Street crossing with Amor Patrio, in the Historic District of Ciudad Bolívar. Until 2014, it was directed by its founder Oswaldo De Sola Ricardo, a leading Venezuelan geologist, who died in the middle of the year. From the beginning of the Foundation, the vision is oriented to bring museum and research centers to all the communities of the region, where children, young people, adults can enjoy and reinvent themselves from the magnificence of the Guayannesian history, full of ancestral wisdom of our primitive lands, of our original people, of the industrialization of our mineral resources, together with the strength and power of our rivers and of course, of our independence movement, which has a primary importance for Venezuelan independence. Likewise, prop up the protection and preservation of the historical heritage for the strengthening of our roots in present and future generations.
