Department of Chemistry Bar - JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay

The whole Marriott complex is huge. It has a wide range of buildings and theme areas. The bar was interesting - good vibe and decor. There are three cushioned tables that face the beach, and if you want to sit at those tables you would want to reserve that ahead of time. In terms of the drinks, the taste was above average and the price tag was steep for Phu Quoc standard. For two drinks and a side of fries, the bill came to US$40.

It was NYE celebration and we were so happy spending time here with a lot of people, free flow drinks and nice music (w DJs) until morning. View is great. Marriott Phu Quoc was well known for its greatly sophisticated and charismatic design. You will definitely see it so clear in Department of Chemistry Bar.nPS: don’t forget to check out its toilet.

A fun themed bar that's dressed up as a chemistry lab. Cocktails here are strong, so even if they do cost a bit you feel like you're getting your money's worth. The house band were a fun and friendly bunch. The bar opens up to a lovely view of the beach. The waiters are generally warm and friendly although the service level falls slightly below what you would expect at a JW Marriott hotel.

Service is great. Food is fantastic. Staying next door where there’s neither of these it is an oasis. I would give it 5 stars but they have a bizarre policy with their happy hour which left me a bit sour. None the less, it’s a great place and Stunning view!

Fantastic experience. Apart from the unique cocktails on offer, the warm and friendly staff made the visit here a most memorable one. Would definitely return!
