Unexpectedly awesome experience. Really authentic village vibe, great guides and enormous amounts of good food. The viet house was comfortable and the village beautiful

We spent a night there, it was beautiful, it is a luxurious Homestay whilst being experiencing local activity.nI recommend.

I know nothing about their tours, but as a hotel they're beautiful and the Apex of backpacker luxury, the room is one million a night and stunning, though nothing really works, the knob fell off the shower, the loo is way too close to the tub the ac remote was missing, and the hotel only had nescafe. Also the food is slightly expensive dull, but the best version of that type of tourist food I've ever had. This is the pinnacle of disappointing 300 dollar rooms that cost 50 dollars(the room is 1m vnd).

Did an overnight stay at Yen Duc back in August 2017 as an add on as part of Indochina Junk's Halong Bay experience. This is the perfect itinerary in my view, budget and midrange travellers going down to the Bay should consider a one-night stopover here.nnThuy was our lovely guide and from start to finish she was great! Spoke excellent English, explained the history of the village, knows everyone, really took her time taking us around - fantastic break from the hectic Hanoi city life.nnThe carp fishing - hilarious, but I slightly pity the poor fish that are picked up and put back again. Ricemaking - also fun. Cycling around the village - educational!nnThe absolute best thing though was the food, you won't get home-cooked grub like this unless you know a family personally or make friends! The host family (whose names I've forgotten, sorry) were also chatty and offered us some of their homemade liquor.nnIt's the kind of experience where the more curious you are, the more you're rewarded. Thuy even was so kind as to give my travel companion one of the farm's plants as my friend had said her family grows herbs at home too. This overall experience is one I'll treasure for a long time, and I still think back on it often.
