Hủ tiếu chay Ngọc

I've been traveling with a vegan and it's not always easy to find Vietnamese food that is accommodating to this diet. They love their fish sauce and meat, as do I! We were so enamored by this little vegan restaurant in a small village in Bến Tre. There was no menu, only one dish was served, and the lady who ran it mastered this dish! I dont even know what it's called, but the broth was superb, and all kinds of goodies were floating around (roasted peanuts, fried tofu, mushrooms, etc.). There were cups on each table (which seemed to be used by all without being cleaned in between uses) for help yourself iced tea. We did help ourselves and trusting our immune systems will be stronger because of it! I dont think they see Westerners there.. at all. People just stared and laughed at us, which is always entertaining for us as well. If you ever make it to this area of Vietnam, it's worth hunting down this gem of a restaurant!

I always come back here to eat Hủ tiếu Chay every time I came back to Vietnam. Its a countryside restaurant of course you can't expect 5 starts or perfect cleanliness. But the taste alway there, never change. Love it

People here say that this vegetarian noodle shop is the best in this area, and it tastes good, but it depends on the taste of everyone, so whoever comes by should try it.

I have eaten 15 years ago. And still delicious now
