Nghe An University of Economics is headquartered in Vinh City, Nghe An Province. This is a public higher education institution, directly under Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. The school has the function of training human resources in economics, accounting, finance, banking and agriculture and forestry for Nghe An province and provinces in the North Central region and the whole country. Besides, research and application of science and technology are applied to economic management, efficiency of production, business, industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas; fostering, training, retraining, improving the qualifications of the contingent of civil servants and employees, the contingent of businessmen and technicians according to the requirements of standardizing professional skills; international cooperation on training and research; scientific exchange and technology transfer.
