The topography of Ha Giang province is quite complicated, with many high rock mountains and rivers and streams, which can be divided into 3 regions. The northern rocky highlands lie close to the north line, with a fairly steep slope, and the valleys and rivers are severely divided. Located in the humid subtropical climate, due to the high terrain, the climate of Ha Giang is temperate. The mountainous area in the west belongs to the upper block of Chay river, steep mountain slopes, high passes, narrow valleys and stream valleys. Low areas in the province include hills, valleys of Lo river and Ha Giang city.
